This is an Onion-style parody magazine, right?

This magazine is an outstanding example of unintentional self-parody in its finest form. Not only does ASIANCE imitate all the inane stupidity of the traditional White "woman's magazine," but it does so with all the self-awareness of a turnip. Well done! But I guess this is to be expected. Just look at the Board of Advisors for this rag: it's a who's who of American corporate elitists and upperwardly mobile tools. ASIANCE just goes to show you that White people don't have the monopoly on mainstream idiocy.

So sad....so sad...

What's kind of messed up though is that even after I tried to protect her and the author of the article's personal contact info, even though I apologized, even after I tried to be fair about the whole thing, she still deleted my account and blocked my computer (IP address) from accessing this website....oh well, I suppose she's going to delete this message as well and block this computer also. Amid all the chaos and confrontations...I hope that the issue of stereotying asian men as weak and predictable has been challenged. Peace my Asian brothers and sisters.

a response for jaymie's space and about Asiance

R eading this post, I am glad this person apologized for their harshness towards you, and saw that the article they had a problem with was maybe conflicting in their opinion but definitely just an opinion, inside a dating column. After all, the whole issue of sex and dating itself is very tumultuous and there are so many things inside the general subject that might be "offensive" on some level but are still existing to be written about and brought out in the open the ideas and conflicts of our time. As someone who writes for Asiance I want to attest to the fact that this is a magazine that is trying to break stereotypes and it is a mature and professional publication. It definitely doesn't have room for harshness against the founder; Jaymie started the magazine and it should be celebrated as something so unique and mind-opening. Asiance has worked hard to bring Asian and Asian American influence in this country out into the open. So many celebrities, influential people, and everyday guys and gals in the community know of and appreciate Asiance as a magazine that is doing this. So, in my opinion, there should be a thousand times more praise than complaints and we should definitely be thankful Asiance even exists! I just wanted to say that as my personal opinion. "I dreamed I was a butterfly..." "I dreamed I was a butterfly..."

I'm sorry about the way things turned out.

I had no idea that things would get this way. If you want, I'm willing to do whatever I can to help and I'm sure that others are willing as well. Initially, I thought that I was fighting a racist article. But now... I've researched some of your other articles and almost all of them are done quite well. It looks like this whole thing has just been a big misunderstanding. Again, I'm sorry. I really didn't know that you would be treated this way. This was never my plan or intent. -Tony Koo

As agreed, I emailed you a copy of my "counter article"

I expect an answer as to whether or not you're going to honor your end of the deal and publish it.
