Lelan Cheung is first Asian American City Councilor in Cambridge

Almost 48 hours after polls closed, the Cambridge Election Commission announced the unofficial winners of the 2009 City Council and School Committee elections. Among the highlights:

Leland Cheung, a 31-year-old joint MBA student at Harvard and MIT, will become the first Asian-American city councilor in Cambridge's history.

Leland Cheung is Chinese American. Congrats!
