FASHION & BEAUTY: FASHION
Audrey Quock was born in New York, New York, in New York's Chinatown and is of Chinese descent. She is perhaps most famous for being the first prominent Asian American swimsuit model for Sports Illustrated. Audrey has two equally, beautiful sisters, Jennie and Wendy. We wanted to know what these three, gorgeous ladies do for their Chinese New Year tradition..
ASIANCE: What are you working on now?
Audrey: I'm working on developing my jewelry line which is a high end costume jewelry line and developing real estate properties. The opportunity to acquire real estate is a little better in the last year, so I've been taking advantage of that.
Jennie: Too many to list. I like to keep myself busy working on a ton of things. My problem is I don’t have enough time.
Wendy: At the moment, finally getting some sleep. My dog, Clarence recently passed from a brain tumor. I was nursing him for over a year. I miss my little linebacker.
ASIANCE: What are some Chinese New Year traditions that you and your family celebrate?
Audrey: Chinese New Year is as important as Christmas in this family. There is no excuse except to not be with the family. We usually have dinner at our parents' house or we go to a restaurant, and of course, we always get in trouble because when three Quock girls are together...it's Mayhem.
Jennie: We kick off Chinese New Year eve with a huge asian style dinner with the family. Not showing up is unacceptable according to Papa Quock. No matter how old or busy we get, we have to be there or there will be repercussions. Plus, he NEVER forgets a thing!
Then we get advice from my parents about everything. It tends to gets sarcastic & obnoxious at times with the siblings and my dad still separates us at the dinner table.
Wendy: Getting together with the family, sitting down for dinner and bringing in the New Year together. It’s mandatory. We’re all present. I’ll get a beating from my parents if I don’t come home on Chinese New Year Eve. Those red good luck envelopes we get each year are nice too!
ASIANCE: What is your favorite part about Chinese New Year?
Audrey: The red envelope that the parents give to the unmarried children which is full of money. (I have not got married just for this reason)
Jennie: Definitely the red envelopes full of cash. As a kid, it felt like hitting lotto! Mostly getting to spend time with my family. It’s tough getting us all together these days.
Wendy: The Chinese get to take a day off and celebrate. You know the Chinese always work. They never close shop.
ASIANCE: What are your favorite Chinese New Year dishes?
Audrey: I am embarrassed to say that I like the Americanized dishes like Jumbo Shrimp w/ broccoli and Chicken w/ broccoli. My parents are always disappointed in me when I order, especially when I put sugar in my chinese tea. My parents find that revolting.
Jennie: The desserts! This sweet sticky rice dessert. I have no idea what you call it in English. You’re going to have to ask my mom.
Wendy: All of them. Home cooking is my favorite cuisine.
ASIANCE: Who is the best cook in your family?
Audrey: Jennie is. She'll beat me up if I don't say that.
Jennie: HA! Audrey is a fantastic cook! The entire family got sick from a meal she made for us one year. She has been demoted to washing dishes and whatever she makes gets push to the side, but we’ll get a surprise guest from time to time that doesn't know any better.
Wendy: Definitely not me, I can't cook. I would say it's a toss up between Jennie and Audrey. Jennie cooks and cleans at the same time (she's a neat freak). Audrey likes to experiment in the kitchen. She cooks these exotic dishes (which by the way are tasty), but everyone always has stomach pains and gas afterwards, seriously! My advice to all eating Audrey's meals.. Proceed with caution: salmonella!
ASIANCE: Do you believe in the zodiac? What are some of your predictions and hopes for the coming year?
Audrey: This year will be the Year of the Rabbit, which predicts the color gold and white are lucky colors. I will be shopping with that in mind.
Jennie: Apparently, the rabbit year is suppose to be a great year for me all around. Let’s see how that goes! I’m still waiting for my mother to read me my 2011 predictions. It better be good.
Wendy: Sure why not? Seems pretty accurate. Well my mother reads the predictions for the new year and she tells me what coincides with the current year and my birth year. That’s all I know!
ASIANCE: Anything you'd like to have accomplished by next Chinese New Year?
Audrey: It'll be great if I have my jewelry line in Bergdorf and Barney's!!!
Jennie: I’d like to get involved with more charitable work. It’s always nice to help the less fortunate, especially homeless kids that don’t have the opportunity to have these traditions.
Wendy: A continued progressive year. Maybe I’ll even try and cook a dish!

You know it is so hard to keep up with the Quock sisters are as they travel so much and are back and forth from NEW YORK to CALIFORNIA and in such great demand! It would be a great honor to land them for the cover however for a "Sports Illustrated" inspired shoot for the Spring/Summer Issue! My gift to all of the male members of Asiance! There are plenty of women, including myself, who are inspired by the modeling trio! What woman doesn't want to look TOTALLY HOT in her SPANKING NEW RED BIKINI TOP paired with Wild West Black Cowboy Hat (to help block the harmful rays of the sun), Daisy Dukes and maid to order Jour Nuit High Heels by Hillary Latos of Asiance for Summer 2012? I know I do! Jour Nuit is a lock-in situation for me! Perfect for the beach as you can switchfoot from flat(s) to SKY HIGH for that BONFIRE PARTY ON THE BEACH OR for the LONG and HOT BOATRIDE to Balboa Island! :) WINK California Girls- Katy Perry ft. Are you going to be wearing your "Kiss me I'm Conveniently Close By" button this year?? You know I made one for myself and wore it last year! I think "Kiss my I'm Your Asian" is more appropriate, what do you think? I will make 10 of them for the big day! http://www.asiancemagazine.com/2011/02/28/erin-go-bra-less Traditional Irish Folk Song - Dennis Leary |

I think that your daughters would enjoy reading about the extraordinary Erin Quill who is of a similar heritage. To keep up to date with Erin Quill’s performances and to purchase her beautiful CD of Traditional Irish Songs, you can go to www.erinquill.com http://www.asiancemagazine.com/2011/02/28/asian-irishman-erin-quill http://www.asiancemagazine.com/201103 We will definitely try to get the spectacular Quock sisters to agree to a "Sports Illustrated" themed cover story but it is not easy because this trio is super busy and super talented! I can see why your daughters are so enamored with them. Every man on the planet is taken with them as well! Beautiful, smart, sexy, sweet, humble and talented. The sisters don't seek out the spotlight but rather the light follows them! They are the entire beautifully wrapped package of three all tied up in a big red bow! :) |

Hello. My name is Lucio and I am from Milano. My passion is painting beautiful women from around the world and a fashion photographer had mentioned these beautiful ladies. May I information as to where I may be able to contact them. I would to fly them to Italy and paint a portrait or perhaps discuss other alternatives. As Americans may say this.... the mold has broken after the exotic Quocks have been created.
